What you see in the first picture is where the work began. The area was heavily overgrown, filled with debris and badly affected by erosion.
The existing channel could no longer properly handle the flow of water, putting the surrounding environment and properties at risk.
So, we got to work.
First, the area was cleared and excavated to create the space and proper alignment needed for the new channel.
Next came the formwork. The channel was carefully framed and prepared to give the concrete structure the required shape, strength and stability.
And finally, the concrete work was completed.
The result?
A properly channelized drainage system designed to provide a clear path for stormwater and help control the erosion that had been affecting the area.
