When constructing a road, there is more to consider than just the surface.
At Neni, Anambra State, the first step was to construct a concrete chute that would safely carry runoff water from the higher section of the road to a proper drainage outlet.
Once the water flow was properly managed, the road construction was carried out and completed.
These photos show both stages of the work, from the concrete chute to the completed road and drainage system.
The project was executed by Cidest Global Services LTD for MCWELL RESOURCES LTD, and both the road and concrete chute were completed in 2023.
It may be a 2023 project, but the principle remains the same today.
Control the water properly, and you give the road a better chance to stand the test of time.
